No. eFiling is a private document-filing service. We prepare and submit your paperwork to the state on your behalf — we are not the Secretary of State and are not affiliated with any government agency. You can always file directly with your state yourself; you'd pay only the state fee.
-
Two things, always shown separately: your state's filing fee (which we pass straight through to the Secretary of State) and our service fee for preparing, reviewing, and submitting the filing. There are no hidden charges and nothing is pre-added to your cart.
-
It depends on your state and the package you choose. Standard filings are typically processed in 1–5 business days; our Expedited and Full-service packages submit same-day where the state allows it. We show your state's exact turnaround before you pay.
-
Yes. If you change your mind before we submit to the state, we'll refund our service fee in full. Once the state has accepted the filing, the state fee is non-refundable because it's already been paid to the government.

Yes — every filing, confirmation, and ID lives in your secure document vault, available any time. You can download originals whenever you need them for a bank, a lender, or your accountant.

Most states require one — a person or company with a physical address in your formation state to receive legal mail. You can be your own, use a friend, or add our registered agent service. It's optional and never pre-checked.
